Feedback for Vos Duivel
The feedback I received off my peers and tutor was extremely confidence boosting and made me want to continue doing my stop frame animations but maybe not focus so much on model making anymore..

It was difficult to get a good picture of him but his body has been made out of wire and masking tape then covered in red plasticine and scratched to give a rough edge to the model.He unfortunately is not very flexible and Im worried he will fall to bits during the filming :(
Still building the set
Struggling slightly with how to get the set well lit enough so I have made a moon for the back of the set which is just a hole covered in tracing paper to give it a milky type translucent effect. Then I will shine a light through this and it should provide adequate lighting for filming.
Vos duivel animation set in the making
I am currently creating the set for the foxes to run about on
Using lots of materials I found outdoors for this set including bits of cut up grass!
Fox models completed!
I have made a big fox and a little fox for the animation.
I constructed them out of chunks of balsa wood and stuck wire in with glue so the joints could move about. I used a thick acrylic paint layer to get the initial browny red colour and then my boyfriend kindly donated some of his own hair to create a fur like surface which actually looked quite good once it had dried!

Dream Animation. Fox and Devil (Vos Duivel)
I have in the works currently a dream based animation based around a nightmare I had the other night.It involved two foxes who were eating pills and a horribly disfigured demon type entity that frightenend the two foxes, I’m going to make an animation out of this, i think it has a lot of potential.So i wil begin my modelmaking of the foxes this afternoon.

Site project idea- Bicycle rack animation

The tiger who came to tea →

Shelter project animation nearly finished
I am proud to announce that I will be finishing the animation shortly and debuting it on tumblr for its first performance!.
Even though the animation I have made so far is very short I think It would be more complicated in such a short space of time to lengthen it any further..
Interesting effect!
I ‘ve just done some screen tests to see what the set looks like on camera and it actually looks quite genuine compared to when your not looking at it behind the lense! This is a happy accident indeed!
Shelter Project animation has begun!
I have begun filming my short animation, it will be very very short as the message in the animation is very simple “Leave places how you found them!” and the idea so far is to have the tipi frame work tiptoe like a human being onto the set and the canvas covering to follow it and for it to set itself up, i think im only going to use two of the models I’ve made as I think three...
Shelter Project tipis are finished!
After an extremely late night getting deeply involved with making up the miniature tipis for the set (which is now dry!) I added the final touches this morning (the pictures on the tipis)
So here is the finished set and models, all ready for animating!
I added some rocks and gravel as well!

Its taken two days but the set has nearly been completed.
For future reference, polystrene is an excellent idea for set use as you can cut it to desired shape very easily, paint can go on quite thickly without looking “overdone”.
Watered down acrylic was useless so concentrated acrylic was applied and I managed to get a dense opaque colour which matched the colour swatches I had set...

Today I have been foraging for materials for set building as I have decided I want to make as short animation highlighting the eco friendly benefits of nomadic type structures.
